Rippling lets you easily manage your employees’ payroll, benefits, expenses, devices, and apps on one unified platform. As a Design Lead and Manager, I’ve been responsible for partnering with stakeholders to drive initiatives across the marketing org, including unifying the brand across the web, designing and leading product launches, growing the web team, and evolving the design system.

Evolving the Rippling Homepage

Currently in development, we recently overhauled the Rippling homepage to better resonate with an up-market audience. We introduced bold type, simplified product UI, and 3D moments to show the power of the product and speak confidently to an enterprise crowd.

Building a flexible system

We used the homepage redesign as an opportunity to evolve our design system from the ground up. We built a robust library of reusable components and variables to create a scalable toolkit available to both marketers and designers. This unlocked a self-serve component for marketers to quickly spin up pages without dev or design resources, while freeing up designers to focus on pushing the boundaries of our site.

Knowing when to bend the system

Design systems are great, but what happens when you need to tailor a page to a specific audience? Evidenced here by an employee-facing swag store, we toned down the tech marketing side of the toolkit in favor of a more consumer-centric e-commerce experience.
